Admissions, Psychiatric Urgent Care, and Lobby Redesign

For over two decades, Marshall Craft has been a trusted design partner of Sheppard Pratt, providing a range of planning, architectural, interior design, and facilities solutions services. The projects we work on include inpatient, outpatient, residential, transitional, education, recreation/fitness, and therapeutic spaces. Our work supports Sheppard Pratt’s holistic therapeutic approach to provide individualized, compassionate, comprehensive care that enables healing and encourages a full recovery.

The Admissions, psychiatric urgent care, and lobby redesign encompassed some of the organization’s most crucial spaces and has transformed the way patients and visitors are welcomed into the facility.

A key design objective for this project was to enhance the quality of patient care and experience—from admission to discharge—while optimizing both patient and staff flows. Marshall Craft architects and interior designers applied biophilic design principles to the renovated space by incorporating finish materials, art, colors, and light to evoke one’s experience with nature.
