30+ projects

Marshall Craft has collaborated for over 15 years with the University of Maryland College Park (UMCP) under multi-year on-call contracts, delivering over 30 projects with over $100 million in construction. These projects range from small renovations and academic space reconfigurations to historic building renovations. Some of these projects include:

The Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research feasibility study to determine a preliminary building program and maximum build-out capacity for the facility and site.

Renovation of Chincoteague Hall, a former 1950s Journalism Building, to create a showcase for the internationally recognized Anwar Sadat Chair for Peace and Development and Baha’i Chair for World Peace, and other internationally focused programs within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. This project achieved LEED Gold status.

Modernization of the UMCP Energy Research Center, originally built in 1947. Marshall Craft’s scope of work included the adaptive redevelopment of existing interior laboratories, a new high bay large project area overhead door entrance, new entrances, new entry stairs, and the replacement of the existing window wall on the entire length of the north side of the building with a curtainwall system.
